Sims 4 fame and reputation cheats

Fame points have a command. Celebrity level and reputation do not: they are picks on the shift-click Public Image menu.

The Public Image menu
Celebrity level and reputation cannot be typed. Hold Shift, click the Sim, and use this menu instead.

Why those two strings circulate
The live game does have ranked statistics, and Businesses & Hobbies uses one for small-business reputation, which is the likeliest source of the confusion. Neither fame string appears in any reachable source, so nothing on this site publishes them.
No source gives a numeric fame threshold per star either, so this page does not invent one. Five picks of Increase Celebrity Level is the reliable way to five stars, and the shift-click menus cover the rest of that menu.

Media Production, and the commands left out
Media Production is a minor skill: Minor_Media and a maximum of 5. One guide prints minor_mediaproduction and another claims a maximum of 10. Start with the spelling in the table.
fame.set_freeze_fame, fame.set_allow_fame, fame.add_sim_to_squad and bucks.lock_perk each rest on one source, so they are not published here. Freeze Fame is on the Public Image menu instead, and the career cheats cover Actor promotions in full.

- Right-click the meter in Simology.
- Pick a rank instead of clicking five times.
Where the mod does not reach
famepoints has a counter to right-click, so the mod covers it, but the mod is a script mod and script mods are Windows and Mac only. On PlayStation and Xbox every fame cheat on this page stays typed or picked from the menu.

Frequently asked questions
What is the fame cheat in The Sims 4?
With cheats on, type famepoints 1000 to give the active Sim a thousand fame points. A negative number, such as famepoints -500, takes points away again.
How do you set celebrity level with cheats?
There is no typed command for it. Hold Shift, click the Sim, open Public Image and choose Increase Celebrity Level once per star, so five picks take a Sim from nothing to five stars. Decrease Celebrity Level goes the other way.
Is there a reputation cheat in The Sims 4?
Only through the same menu. Shift-click the Sim, open Public Image and choose Set Reputation, then pick one of the seven tiers from Pristine down to Atrocious. The string stats.set_stat rankedStatistic_Reputation_ReputationRanked circulates widely and does not exist.
Why does my fame perk cheat do nothing?
Almost always the number in the middle. Fame perks are 61441 and fame quirks are 61442. The 40961 that appears in many copied lists is the vampire power type, and it fails without an error message.
Can the UI Cheats Extension set fame?
Yes, and it is the shortest route. Right-click the Fame or Reputation meter in Simology to pick a rank, right-click the fame point counter to set points, and right-click a perk to unlock or lock it. No Sim identifier and no currency number. The mod is PC and Mac only.
