Move a pregnancy along
Each buff jumps the selected Sim to that stage. Run all three, then go straight to labour.

Twins, triplets and more
Forcing the number of babies takes two commands: one to look up the Sim ID, one to set the count.

End a pregnancy
There is no dedicated cancel command. You clear the buffs that carry the pregnancy instead.

Grim Reaper babies
With Life & Death, trying for a baby with the Grim Reaper gives a child with the Grimborn trait, whatever the pregnancy setting in Create a Sim.

Grim Reaper babies
With Life & Death installed, a Sim can try for a baby with the Grim Reaper. The child is born with the Grimborn trait: a scythe birthmark and a longer life than an ordinary Sim.
EA notes that young adults and adults can become pregnant from that interaction whatever pregnancy setting they were given in Create a Sim.
You can hand out both traits directly. traits.equip_trait Grimborn gives the birthmark and the lifespan, and traits.equip_trait GrimDescendant gives the trait a child of a Grimborn Sim inherits, which carries neither. For a vampire or werewolf parent instead, see occult cheats.
If a pregnancy cheat does nothing
- Cheats are off. Type
testingcheats trueand wait for the confirmation. - The Sim is not pregnant. Trimester and labour buffs need a pregnancy to act on.
- The wrong Sim is selected. Click her portrait, then open the console.
- The buff name is misspelled. It is
buff_pregnancy_inlabor, one word, American spelling. - The offspring count ran with a stale Sim ID. Read it again with

Skip the trimesters
- One buff per trimester. No buff starts a pregnancy.

How well attested this one is
Both EA's own pregnancy guide and SnootySims document pregnancy.force_offspring_count, which makes it one of the better attested cheats in this corner of the game.
The number you pass is the number of babies, so 2 gives twins and 3 gives triplets.
End a pregnancy
- There is no cancel command.
sims.remove_all_buffsclears the pregnancy buffs.
The longer version EA prints
EA's pregnancy guide gives this command with pregnancy_in labor as an argument. That form has a space inside the argument, which would end the command early.
It is almost certainly a typo in EA's documentation. Use the plain command.
The baby's gender
- No gender command is confirmed by two sources.
- Change it after birth with
cas.fulleditmode.
Xbox and PlayStation
testingcheats trueswitches off Achievements and Trophies for this save. Other saves keep theirs.- Hold all four shoulder buttons to open the console, then use the on-screen keyboard.
- The Sim ID step is slow. The Fertile trait is far less typing.

Frequently asked questions
How do you make a Sim go into labour?
Select the pregnant Sim, open the console, and enter testingcheats true followed by sims.add_buff buff_pregnancy_inlabor. Labour starts right away. It only works on a Sim who is already pregnant, since the buff does not start a pregnancy.
Is there a cheat for twins or triplets?
Yes. Run sims.get_sim_id_by_name First Last to get the pregnant Sim's ID, then pregnancy.force_offspring_count SimID 2 for twins or 3 for triplets. EA documents this command in its own pregnancy guide. The Fertile reward trait only raises the natural chance of twins, it does not force them.
Is there a baby gender cheat?
No command for it turned up in two independent sources, so this page does not list one. You can change it after the birth instead: enter cas.fulleditmode, shift-click the Sim, and choose Modify in CAS. That opens the gender field along with the name and the rest of Create a Sim.
Can UI Cheats control a pregnancy?
No. Pregnancy is not in the author's feature list for the mod, so there is no panel to click and no pregnancy dialog. The console commands on this page are the only route.
